In the latest bit of local SEO news, Google is testing a feature that allows potential customers to chat directly with a business while searching.

This is a new pilot program that is "invite only" that Google is testing. If you haven't been invited to use this feature you won't be able to try it out. A button is added to your Google My Business page in local SEO search results called "Message". If a search engine user clicks on it they will be able to chat directly with you. Sounds like it would be a beneficial feature if it's implemented.
